The community is predominantly Latino, and Spanish is widely spoken alongside English. There’s also a Hasidic enclave in the uptown area, where Yiddish is used in daily life. Getting around is easy with frequent NJ Transit buses (#159 and #154) to and from the Port Authority in Midtown Manhattan. The nearby Hudson-Bergen Light Rail also connects to other parts of the county, making transportation seamless. Walking is one of the best ways to soak in the area’s energy. The stretch of Bergenline Avenue from 32nd to 47th Street is especially scenic, home to well-preserved buildings from the 19th and early 20th centuries. GETTING AROUND One of the best parts of staying here is how simple it is to reach the city. You are directly across from Manhattan with several easy ways in. The NJ Transit 159 and 154 buses are the main routes to Port Authority and Times Square in Midtown. Additional NJ Transit bus lines are also available nearby, including the 156, 128, and 158. The Port Imperial ferry crosses to Midtown by water. You can also take the Hudson Bergen Light Rail and connect to the PATH train for direct service into Manhattan and the World Trade Center, and rideshare is always available. For the airports, we recommend a rideshare such as Uber or Lyft to and from Newark, LaGuardia, and JFK. Public transportation to the airports is possible, but it is highly inconvenient with luggage. Please keep in mind that actual travel times can vary depending on rush hour traffic, weather, and local events such as concerts, sports games, and shows, so we recommend the NJ Transit app for live times and planning your trip. THE NEIGHBORHOOD You get the best of both worlds here, a calm place to come home to with real city life just outside the door. Bergenline Avenue, one of the busiest shopping and dining streets in the county, is a short walk away, lined with restaurants, cafes, markets, and pharmacies for everything you need day to day. The Hudson River waterfront walkway is close by, with open skyline views that make for a beautiful morning run or an easy evening stroll. Lively and convenient by day, restful by night. BOOKING AND STAY BASICS Everything is set up to make moving in simple. This is a monthly furnished rental with a 31 night minimum and a six month maximum, in line with local rules. We share your check in details before arrival, and late arrivals are always welcome. All reservations must complete a quick guest screening, which we send through Truvi or a similar service after your booking is confirmed and which needs to be completed before check in. All adults staying should be named on the reservation with a completed, verified Airbnb profile. The home is smoke free, pet free, and not suited for parties or events. Our monthly rate already includes the long term discount and is firm, with utilities and WiFi built in. GOOD TO KNOW A few honest details so you can plan with confidence. There is no washer or dryer inside the unit, though a convenient wash and fold laundromat is just one street away. Like any busy, densely populated city so close to Manhattan, street parking can be limited and take some patience, and there is no on site or dedicated parking. Depending on availability, we may be able to offer a visitors parking pass, and if one is arranged we will simply need your vehicle description and license plate number. If you prefer to drive, monthly parking is available at the Port Imperial garage in Weehawken, and most guests leave their car there for the stay and love how easy it is to get everywhere by transit. The home comfortably sleeps up to three guests. We are a small, hands on team, and we take pride in spotless spaces, quick and clear communication, and stays that simply run smoothly from check in to check out. GUEST PROFILE To keep every stay smooth and secure for our guests, we ask that your Airbnb profile is complete before booking. This includes a verified ID, email, phone number, and a profile photo. After your booking is confirmed, all reservations also complete a quick guest screening through Truvi or a similar service, to be completed before check in. EARLY CHECK IN AND LATE CHECK OUT We are always happy to offer these when we can, though they are never guaranteed, since our cleaning team needs the full turnover window to prepare the home to our standards. If your schedule needs a little flexibility, the easiest option is to book an extra night so the space is yours on your own timing.
